Originally by: Goose99 The carebears dropping into a new shard would also drop griefers, bots, political megalomaniacs, and other parasites that have gotten fat by infesting them, out of Eve.
The only thing that is considered griefing in eve is can baiting noobs in rookie systems. The rest is war, by design.
I never understood why people play multiplayer games online to play against computers. So maybe you could explain what people do on these "pve shards"?

Originally by: Sigfried III I would finally get to see what its like to Rat the big Rats in 0.0. I would mine in 0.0 , I would manufacture my own T2 and higher gear while ratting in the most cutting edge ships in 0.0. And the dev's not being complete morons , would actually up the difficulty of deep space rats so people lost ships to them. yeah ... it would be great
Yes they could focus major efforts on programming AI, but AI never gets clever like actual human beings. That is the entire point of multi-player games and most good game designers know this.
I don't understand why you are ok with losing your ship to NPCs but not to other players?

This is really good information to make the NPC's strike more fear into the players, thanks.
To the assembly hall!

Originally by: Sigfried III The reverse would probably also be true. Make pods invulnerable and there would probably be more pvp.
You know you can just pick something to warp to and spam the warp button as you are dieing and you wont lose your pod?
Whats really the big problem with losing your pod anyway? You know you don't HAVE to use implants that cost over a billion isk, that is your choice.

Originally by: Sigfried III You know you dont HAVE to blow up my pod... that is your choice.
Unless you are bubbled in, it is your choice to leave or not. If you stick around then you make it my choice. It is also your choice to concede to a fight and to get down on your knees on the forums before anyone ever gets to the log in screen. Your insecurity and meek personality is what really makes you a carebear, not the possibility of losing your pod.

Originally by: Goose99 There was a time when Eve was fun..
If someone is holding a gun to your head forcing you to play Eve, put two smiley faces in your next post so we can notify the authorities you are being held hostage.
Originally by: Goose Pvp server should be low population, no highsec, no overgrown market and nothing to finance the blobs and egos. Pve server can be whatever the casual players want. The megalomaniacs and griefers can suck on it.
Grind, for some strange reason, puts bad game design into a sexy red dress for consumers. I can not explain it, I personally don't like it, it is just how it happens. I would love to see an arcade version of Eve, but CCP struggles ironing out simple problems like T2 BPO's, T2 resources, super capitals & hics, ratting/mining mechanics and how macro friendly they are... Could we really expect them to be able to balance out a version of Eve without the 'sexy red dress'?
